Iquitos Hangs

12 June 2015

Hello all! We made it safely to Iquitos on the 10th- tonight we are expecting our last and final member of the Project team, Alec! We have been having fun exploring what Iquitos has to offer- fruit juice, the beautiful Itaya River, nature preserves and much more. We feel as though we are living like Queens in our hostel, 2 twin beds to a room with a private bath… something that will be foreign to us for the next 6 weeks 😉

The people here are welcoming and interested in the work we will be doing in la selva! Although it has been nice to be able to settle into Peru and take a look around Iquitos, I think I can speak for all of us when I say we are anxious to start our journey up the river and get to the Biological station!
